Dr. Mark E. Ross

Associate Professor of Systematic Theology

Erskine Theological Seminary

Dr. Mark Ross is Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at  Erskine Theological Seminary Columbia Campus, and Director of the Institute for Reformed Worship.  Previously, he served for twenty years as Associate Pastor for Teaching at the First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina. 

Dr. Ross is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (B.A., 1974), Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (M.Div., 1979), and the University of Keele in England (Ph.D., 1984).

Dr. Ross is the author of Let’s Study Matthew (Banner of Truth Trust, 2009), “Improving the Means of Grace: The Larger Catechism on Spiritual Growth” (The Westminster Confession Into the 21st Century, Vol. III, Ligon Duncan, ed., Christian Focus Publications, 2009), “Baptism and Circumcision as Signs and Seals” (The Case for Covenantal Infant Baptism, Gregg Strawbridge, ed., P & R Publishing, 2003), and co-author with Philip Rollinson of The Children’s Catechism: A New Modern Version (Summertown Texts, 1988).  His article “In Essentials Unity, In Non-Essentials Liberty, In All Things Charity” was published in the September 2009 issue of Tabletalk magazine by Ligonier Ministries.
