Dr. Carl Trueman is Professor of Historical Theology and Church History at Westminster Theological Seminary.
Dr. Trueman graduated from St. Catharine’s College, Cambridge (M.A., 1988) and University of Aberdeen (Ph.D., 1991). He was Tutorial Assistant in Church History, University of Aberdeen, 1991–1993; Lecturer in Theology, University of Nottingham, 1993–1998; Senior Lecturer in Church History, University of Aberdeen, 1998–2001; and Editor, Themelios, 1998–2007. He has been a Council member of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals since 2004.
Dr. Trueman is the author of: Luther’s Legacy: Salvation and English Reformers, 1525–1556; The Claims of Truth: John Owen’s Trinitarian Theology; Reformation: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow; The Wages of Spin: Critical Writings on Historic and Contemporary Evangelicalism; John Owen: Reformed Catholic, Renaissance Man; and Minority Report: Unpopular Essays on Everything from Ancient Christianity to Zen Calvinism.
