Academic Dean & Professor of Practical Theology,
Westminster Theological Seminary in California,
Escondido, CA
Presentation: "Preaching Christ from All of Scripture "
This address will introduce the biblical and theological case for preaching every Scripture, in the light of Jesus' redemptive mission as our supreme Prophet, Priest, and King, the mediator of the covenant who is both the promise-keeping Lord who rescues us and the commandment-keeping Servant who obeys and suffers in our place. Only as our sermons consistently connect the Bible's wide diversity of themes and genres to Jesus the Messiah, Scripture's premier Hero and organizing center, will we meet our hearers' real needs for reconciliation and transformation by grace, and so give all glory to God.
